1. JT Peyton- It’s no surprise that JT is ranked number one as he dominated in the Peaky Masters. Momentum is now on his side, but the question remains if he’ll be able to keep it up or crack under pressure.
2. James Choy- Always the bridesmaid, never the bride, James always ranks rather high in these power rankings, but he’s yet to take the top spot. Still, there’s still time for James to prove his worth in the events to come.
3. Ruiraidh Sutherland- Tied with yours truly in last place with a whopping zero points, Ruiraidh hit the ground crawling going into the Peaky Golf Tour. Having skipped the Masters for personal reasons, he has a lot of points to make up for.
4. Cameron Cleary- Cameron was number one in the power rankings going into the Peaky Masters, but his performance was slightly underwhelming. Still, he’s built up enough good will over the years to earn the number 4 spot of the Port Glasgow Championship power rankings.
5. Aidan Peyton- Aidan’s continuing decline in the power rankings may be cause for alarm for the young golfer, but there’s still time for Aidan to turn things around. Aidan’s a top golfer and is always capable of pulling out a win.
6. Tom Roche- Having been ranked number 5 the two previous rankings, Tom is heading in the wrong direction, which is surprising given his strong performance in the Peaky Masters. Still looking for his first major, Tom is extra motivated to perform well at the Port Glasgow Championship.
7. Chris Choy- Chris murdered yet another one of his golf clubs, so he’ll be entering the Port Glasgow Championship a club short. He’s been playing well in the Peaky Golf Tour so far, but he’ll need to keep his temper in check if he wishes to continue to do so.
8. Eric Stengel- After sitting out the Peaky Masters, this will be Eric’s first major of this year’s Peaky Golf Tour. He’s made the risky decision to play a round at 8am before the official round at 2, so his success will depend solely on his ability to stay awake.
9. Liam Peyton- After a slow start to the Peaky Golf Tour, Liam is hoping to recuperate and get back into the game with the Port Glasgow Championship. But in order to have any chance, he’ll have to recapture some of the magic from 2021.
10. Callum Sutherland- Callum’s game has suffered over the past year and he’s still playing catch up with his handicap, but he’s slowly improving his swing. A few more sessions on his golf simulator and he’ll be back to his old self in no time.
11. Colin Drummond- Colin performed well in the Peaky Masters, but after shooting a 65 on the front nine in a recent golf outing, one might assume that was a fluke. If Colin was to have any hope in the Port Glasgow Championship, he needs to get his game in order.
12. JP Petrucci- After a disappointing performance at the Peaky Masters, JP is looking to improve his chances at the Port Glasgow Championship. Luckily, JP is familiar with the course being played at, having just shot a 39 on the back nine.
13. Ian Choy- Always at the bottom, Ian made a bold move regarding the Masters to improve people’s faith in him. He didn’t show up. This strategy may not have worked in Ian’s favor, but he gets points for trying.
