2025 Keystone Classic Preview

Keystone Classic Logo

As the Peaky Tour rolls into its second major of the year, anticipation is building for the 2025 Keystone Classic, set to tee off at Spring Hollow Golf Club. This two-man best ball event has long been a proving ground for elite pairings, clutch performances, and season-defining moments. And with a loaded field, shifting alliances, and storylines galore, this year’s edition promises no shortage of drama.

2024 Keystone Classic Recap

The 2024 Keystone Classic at Raven’s Claw saw JT and Callum dominate the field with a lights-out 63 (-8), capturing the title in style. Their chemistry and shot-making left little room for the competition, as Cameron and Ruiraidh pushed hard but settled for second at 65 (-6).

Chris and Colin held steady with a 69 (-2), while other teams couldn’t quite find their groove on a course that proved tougher than expected:

  • Liam & Ciaran – 70 (-1)

  • Tom & James – 72 (+1)

  • Aidan & Eric – 81 (+10)

  • Ian & JP – 83 (+12)

Storylines to Watch

Colin Returns as a Major Champion

Fresh off his Peaky Masters victory, Colin Drummond returns to the field with a green jacket in his locker and a new partner by his side: Ciaran, who is still searching for his first major title. Can Colin keep the momentum rolling, or will the pressure of new expectations take its toll?

The Hunt for a First Major

Sam, Ciaran, Eric, and Keegan are all hoping to shed the “best never to win one” label. A win at the Keystone would be a career-defining moment, and best ball might be the perfect format to get it done.

Title Defense… Divided

2024 champions Callum and JT are back — but now on different teams. Callum teams up with Tom, while JT is paired with Sam, setting the stage for a potential showdown between former co-champions.

Mic’d Up Cart Cam Returns

The 8:00 AM pairing of Callum, Tom, JT, and Sam will feature this event’s mic’d up Cart Cam coverage, giving fans a front-row seat to the trash talk, strategy, and chaos that unfolds inside the ropes.

Redemption for Aidan?

After back-to-back rounds in the 90s — his first such stretch since April 2024 — Aidan teams up with longtime partner Ruiraidh to chase another Keystone crown. Can he bounce back and silence the doubters?

Veterans Reunite

The field is loaded with former Keystone champions looking to reclaim the title: James, Chris, Aidan, Cameron, Liam, JT, Tom, Callum, and Ruiraidh have all stood atop the podium before. That experience will matter, especially when the pressure ramps up on the back nine.

Ian’s Keystone Chase

He’s won just about everything else. Now, Ian looks to cross the Keystone Classic off his career checklist. Teamed up with James, this group may fly under the radar — but don’t be surprised if they’re in the hunt late.

Power Rankings: Voted by the Players

Ahead of the tournament, players submitted their rankings, and here’s how the teams stack up:

  1. Callum & Tom

    – Proven winners. High expectations.

  2. Cameron & Keegan

  3. Aidan & Ruiraidh

  5. Chris & Eric

    – Vets with something to prove.

  6. JT & Sam

    – Electric potential. Can they stay steady?

  7. Colin & Ciaran

  8. Liam & JP

    – Don’t sleep on them. Chaos lurks around every corner.

Closing Thoughts

The 2025 Keystone Classic is more than just another stop on the calendar — it’s a chance to rewrite legacies, create chaos, and add another layer to the Peaky Tour’s growing history. With mics rolling, pride on the line, and all 16 players locked in, this one’s shaping up to be an instant classic.

Buckle up.
